DISASTER PREPAREDNESS FOR FAMILIES WITH VULNERABLE CHILDREN AND ADULTS

More than ever, disaster preparedness is a growing necessity within households, but there is no one-size-fits-all plan for this daunting task. Each family has unique day-to-day needs, but what happens to those needs when all resources have disappeared? A challenge especially difficult for families with children and adults with special needs, whether medical, dietary, cognitive, mobility, or any other accommodation necessity. This class will cover the basics of preparing your home and family but focus on adapting those basic needs to accommodate the special needs of individual households, where special considerations need to be developed. It will address building resilience within the home and meeting needs individually, giving you the strength as a family to survive.
