Open to the Community!

Please Note: Parent/Caregiver Participation or Nearby Supervision Required

This is a parent/caregiver participation or on-site supervision program. While our team will lead structured activities and provide guidance throughout each session, we kindly ask that a parent or guardian remain onsite or within close proximity (such as the parking lot) during camp hours.

This approach ensures each child's safety, comfort, and individualized support if needed. We deeply appreciate your partnership in fostering a positive, inclusive experience for all campers.

Caregivers are welcome to step inside, enjoy a nearby coffee, or connect with other families while remaining accessible. Our goal is to create a relaxed, community-friendly atmosphere for everyone.

What to Expect

Parent Learning Opportunities:
This year, we’re planning to add a parent education component featuring guest speakers from local organizations who will share valuable resources and knowledge to support families. Stay tuned, more details to come!

Fun Activities:
As in previous years, we’ll be joined by community partners offering a variety of engaging sessions. These may include yoga, martial arts, creative arts, dance, and more!

*For Families Receiving WA State Developmental Disabilities Community Services (DDCS):

This program may qualify as a one-to-one Peer Mentorship opportunity under DDCS IFS Waiver.  This means that services would be goal-driven and LCAC would provide a dedicated staff person for support during camp.  Although available, please inquire at info@lcautism.org ahead of time to determine feasibility.

If your child receives DDCS (formerly DDA) services and you'd like to use their benefits for this camp, please let us know in advance so we can coordinate with your case manager.
Pre-approval is required to utilize DDCS waiver services.

Camp Schedule:
Two sessions per week (2 hours each) for 3 weeks = 12 total hours of programming.

Registration is handled through the City of Chehalis Parks & Recreation Department.
