Leading with Vision and Dedication
Executive Director
Michelle M. Whitlow, M.S.
Dear Lewis County Residents,
I am honored to reach out to my beloved community and share a bit about the exciting future we can build together. As the Executive Director of the Lewis County Autism Coalition, I bring with me over twenty years of experience empowering marginalized populations and a master's level, specialized education in leadership and community interventions with a core foundation in Human and Social Services. More importantly; however, I am filled with enthusiasm and dedication to serve and collaborate with each of you.
Our coalition is committed to fostering a community built on empathy, inclusivity, and mutual support. With your help, we aim to expand our programs and resources to better support individuals with autism and their families. We envision a future where every individual has access to the services they need, where barriers to care are broken down, and where our community thrives together.
We are planning to introduce innovative programs that will enhance our support network. From expanding our sensory-friendly summer camps and neurodiverse teen groups to launching new to Lewis County initiatives, we are dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of our community. Our annual events, such as the Southwest Washington Autism Conference and the Inclusive Career Fair, will continue to grow, offering more opportunities for learning, connection, and empowerment with the intentional goal of securing a new physical location that will operate as a dynamic resource hub of engaging and empowering community initiatives, supported by regional community partners.
In addition to program expansion, we are focusing on building strong partnerships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone. Together, we can create a lasting impact that resonates throughout our community, making it a place where everyone feels valued and included.
It is with great enthusiasm that I serve in this role, ready to work alongside each of you as community members and partners. Together, we have the power to shape a brighter future and create a lasting impact. I look forward to the journey ahead and the positive changes we will achieve together.
Warm regards,
Michelle Whitlow, M.S.
