About the Event

Parent Empowerment Series

Supporting Autistic Children & Behavioral Regulation Needs

Parenting a child with significant emotional or behavioral challenges can feel overwhelming at times. This six-session Parent Empowerment Series is designed to provide caregivers with practical tools, new perspectives, and a supportive space to learn alongside other parents navigating similar experiences.

Participants will learn how to reframe behavior as communication, develop strategies for managing parental triggers and burnout, create effective home safety and crisis plans, and gain a better understanding of how to advocate for their child in school settings, including the basics of IEP advocacy.

Throughout the series, parents will also develop practical take-home tools such as emotion coaching scripts, visual schedule templates, and personalized family regulation plans that can be used immediately at home.

Equally important, the series creates space for parent connection and peer support, recognizing that families benefit not only from professional guidance but also from sharing experiences with others who understand the journey.
